At it’s time! Fitness Results, we know how precious your time is and that when fitness goals are realized, one’s life is enriched on all levels: physical, emotional, and psychological. Our New Client Intake Process takes a little time and includes a detailed Functional Movement Screen (FMS), goal setting, and general health questionnaire. We know it’s critical that we find out your current fitness level and what your goals are. We find this Intake Process is one of the main reasons we can guarantee results – we take the time to get to know you!
All new clients take a private 50-minute session for assessment, screening, and technique review. Only then can we develop a custom program specially designed for your particular goals and to address any weaknesses and imbalances found.
In short, FMS is a ranking and grading system created to document movement patterns that are key to normal function in daily life.

Functional Movement Screen
FMS is the screening tool used to identify limitations or asymmetries in seven fundamental movement patterns that are key to functional movement quality in individuals with no current pain complaint or known musculoskeletal injury. There are seven basic movements in the screen that quickly identify a weakness or imbalance in your individual movements. The results of the screen become part of the initial and ongoing assessment process in your strength and conditioning program.
A personalized training program based on your individual movement patterns can successfully change how efficiently and safely you move. This decreases the chance for injury or re-injury and sets the foundation for improvement in your strength and conditioning.

Sheila Hamilton is certified in Functional Movement Screening and Corrective Exercise Level 2. Sheila received the highest level of certification to date as a CKFMS Certified Kettlebell Functional Movement Specialist. All trainers at it’s time! Fitness Results are FMS Level 1 certified.
